Valentine’s Day is almost here, this Friday to be exact, what a great day for me to post some great affordable & at home date your spouse ideas. Since I have already shared my gift guide for him and her this post is the perfect post to share the week of Valentine’s. These are perfect ideas for you and your partner to have a relaxing and memorable night. I understand that sometimes if we have kids it’s hard to have a romantic time, but these are some things you can do when the kid’s are sound asleep. Plus, most of these are budget-friendly and easy to arrange. Even if you’re spending Valentine’s Day at home, you can make it into a romantic night with your partner.
One another note, these can be date night ideas for any day of the week. Date night is not just for special occasions or Valentines Day, it needs to happen between two people often.
1. Dinner & a Movie
2. A weekend gateway (doesn’t have to be far!)
3. Dessert Date
For this one it can be a go out or stay in. If you want to stay in you can pick up your favourite desserts from your favourite bakery or dessert place and take it home to enjoy with each other.
4. Ship the kids out for a sleepover & plan a romantic night at home or get them into bed early,
Some flowers on the table
His/her favourite meal with some candle light
Followed by dessert
5. A nice hot bubble bath in the dark with only candles on
6. Rose petals on the bed with a nice message with special oil
7. Netflix a movie and snuggle up together
8. Pour your heart into a letter to your partner and then give it to them on Valentines Day
9. Candle light bubble bath
10. Massage each-other
These ideas can be done thru out the year & we should always make it a point to make our partner feel loved and appreciated. If it’s been awhile since you’ve had a date night plan one. It’s not the price tag that connects us, it’s the thought and time spent together. I personally like Valentine’s Day, but just to show our partner extra attention that day, but to me it’s not the only day to do it. We must always show love & take the time to always connect, life is crazy busy and throw kids in and we are always busy with something extra, once a week, two weeks, whatever works for you. Make time to reconnect always and make each other feel special and appreciated. Spending special alone time that we don’t always have time for because of how crazy life can get sometimes.
If you have some great ideas and would like to share comment below I would love to hear them! Will you be doing some of these ideas with your loved one?
